Under No Circumstances Touch the Wrapped Muffins on the Counter! I was stunned yesterday morning when I went to Brew House Downtown and was rudely scolded for touching the plastic-wrapped muffin I was planning to buy. It was in a basket at the counter where any patron would naturally pick it up and buy it, especially since it was wrapped and literally sitting at the till. The barista grabbed the muffin and, with pure anger and vitriol in his voice, told me not to touch anything. I’ve been in some pretty hostile and aggressive situations in my time, but this was outrageous. The girl waiting for her order looked shocked and disoriented as well when I walked out without buy anything. I love downtown Toledo. I frequent small businesses, and I try to contribute to the overall good vibes of our city. I shudder to think how the barista treats out-of-town guests staying at the hotel across the street. I mean, if you want downtown businesses to survive, you have to have a baseline of civility with your patrons, especially before they have had their coffee.

Came down to stay in Toledo for a wedding found this place directly across the street from my hotel, the coffee was delicious everyday I had it over the weekend, and on the Sunday that I left I witnessed the staff become absolutely swamped with a huge line of convention people who were ordering not only complicated drinks but large amounts of smoothies and other drinks that took longer to make than normal and the staff knocked out a huge line of people without a pause or any real delay. One person even ordered 10 smoothies which during the middle of a rush can crash the best of service staffs and they knocked it out with barely anyone in the place noticing how hard they were working. Can't recommend this place enough the coffee was absolutely delicious and well prepared the dining room is amazingly cool with all of the wood and stone tables as well as the back seating area that was super quiet and comfortable. But for me the staff are what put this place over the top. Definitely stop in if you go to a mud hens game or a walleye game.

Great vibe and love the ambiance. My cappuccino was very good and tried the meatball sub which I enjoyed. Offering a full range of foods from desserts to small plates as well as a couple lunch options. The cocktail bar downstairs was very cool as well. I'll need to try that next time. πŸ€“

Amazing customer service, thank you!! We had a Hot coco, peppermint latte, salted caramel latte, and an oatmeal raisin cookie..All were very good!! This is such a cute place, with quite a bit of seating in the back too. Id definitely recommend checking them out for coffee, sweets, breakfast, and brunch! Downstairs is awesome too, and I'm so glad we went there, and had fun!

I recently visited Brew House in downtown Toledo and was impressed by the beautiful ambiance. The interior is cozy and well-designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, my overall experience was disappointing due to the service we received. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and planned to sit and enjoy our cheesecake. Despite informing the staff, we were handed to-go cups, and our dessert was packed to go, making us feel unwelcome from the start. Throughout our time there, we were given multiple warnings about the time, which felt excessive and rushed. At 2:57 PM, just before closing, we were given a hard time about using the bathroom before leaving, which added to the unpleasant experience. Additionally, a staff member began sweeping right next to our table a5 240pm, while we were still eating, which felt rude and inconsiderate. I understand the importance of closing on time, but the way it was handled made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I wouldn’t return. It’s a shame because the ambiance and potential for a great visit were there, but the rushed and dismissive service overshadowed it.
